It looks like Portal 2′s Free DLC is arriving October 4th. The new DLC titled “Peer Review” will be a co-op addition as well as single player and co-op challenge mode and leaderboards. Here is the quote from Valve:
“In “Peer Review”, you and a friend will continue the story of loyal bots P-Body and Atlas as you puzzle your way through a mysterious new co-op test track and once again match wits with GLaDOS. The DLC also features a single player and co-op Challenge Mode, and leaderboards to compare Challenge Mode scores with friends and the Portal community.”
I have to admit I’m a little disappointed that the free DLC is for the co-op mode. I still haven’t had a chance to start co-op with anyone yet. Maybe I’m the exception and maybe now that I am finished Deus Ex I have an excuse to get in there.
Here’s the thing, I’ve been waiting for a friend to play co-op with. I’m a little worried about ruining my experience with a random stranger. I have not heard any good things about playing any kind of co-op with strangers.
In added news there are more songs to test by over at the official soundtrack webpage. I’ve enjoyed the first two and even used one of the ringtones on my phone.
